Ollie "Mae" Turman, 82, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024 at her home. Mae was born in Franklin County, Virginia on July 23, 1942. She was the sixth of ten children born to Elijah Cleveland Turman and Mary Maggie Hale Turman.
Mae was of the Christian faith and was a member of New Grace Baptist Church. She retired from Plastics One after 34 years of service. Mae was a fun-loving person who enjoyed country and gospel music and loved attending concerts and plays. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Mae had a love for baking and was well-known for her cakes. She was also an animal lover and her favorites were Ernie, Coco, and Molly.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Minnie Turman, Freeda Clemons, Warren Turman, Harley Turman, and Marvin Turman; and niece, Tina Turman.
Mae is survived by her siblings, Edna Bowles, Nellie Turman, Darius Turman (Jackie) and Jerris Turman. Mae is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed and loved through the years; and special friends, Peggy Hartman, Eddie Kronenburg, and Kathy Krietch.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Shaun Minnix and Rev. Ken Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
