John M. Vaught, 66, of Roanoke, VA., departed this world for his heavenly home on August 8th. 2025.

He was an avid Vikings Football Team fan, a fabulous dancer, black diamond skier, and enjoyed shooting pool, blackjack and travel.

John was the life of the party and always encouraged others, he was a fighter, the glass was always half full, he was dedicated to his wife and loved supporting those who were less fortunate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Vaught; his sister, Cynthia King; his sister-in-law, Debbie Montgomery; special friend, Jeffrey Stiff, and snuggle buddy, Maximus.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Brown Vaught; his mother, Evelyn Vaught; brothers, Timoth Vaught, Mark Vaught (Rosa), and Joseph Vaught (Tammy); a special brother-in-law, Glen Montgomery; special sister-in-law, Linda Call (Billy); his numerous nieces and nephews: Daniel Vaught, Kathryn Vaught, Tracie Vaught, Emily Vaught, Justin Vaught, Stephanie George (Warren), Chris Couch (Jason Adams), Kim Montgomery, Chad Brown (Sarah), Stuart Brown (Kayla), Julia Brown (Jim Tutino), Lillian Maora Adams; great nieces, Hadley Brown, Aspyn Brown; god-daughter, Cara Wilson; and a beloved pet, Thurston.

A visitation will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at 1:15pm. Followed by a 2:00pm service with Paster Myron Atkinson officiating. Visitation at Interment will be private.
