Timmie Elwood Ferguson, age 68 of Rocky Mount died Monday, July 29, 2024. He was born May 26, 1956 and was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Doris Brooks Ferguson; and sister, Brenda Ferguson Scott. Timmie graduated from Drewry Mason High School in 1974. He was employed with DuPont in Martinsville for 20 years and recently worked for Deshazo Oil Company in Martinsville. Timmie enjoyed hiking, weightlifting, ginseng hunting, fishing, and playing drums. He also attended Faith Fellowship Church. Surviving are his son, Lance Ferguson and wife Andrea of Columbia, MD; sister, Pamela Jennings and husband Tom of Richmond; nephew, Jeff Scott (Heather) and their son, Nate; and former spouse, Pamela Ann Campbell. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
