Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 pm until 1:45 pm. Tentative Graveside service to follow at Franklin Memorial Park pending weather, and ground conditions.

January 10, 1966, Ronnie was certified as an Eagle Scout by the National Council and he was a 1968 graduate of Franklin County High School. Ronnie was a long-time, dedicated employee of General Electric in Salem, VA for well over forty years before retiring; and he was a loyal member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church.

He was an extremely intelligent handyman, mechanic, and could repair and build most anything. Ronnie was the man that never sleeps, as he was always busy socializing, going, doing, giving, dancing, cooking, or working on projects 24/7 - living everyday of life to the fullest. He was a constant jokester, never at a loss for words, never met a stranger, and was always willing to go out of his way to lend a hand and help his friends in need no matter what time of day.

Ronnie absolutely loved to travel, especially to the Outer Banks and to the beach. He was the collector of all things and loved wheeling and dealing at thrift shops, antique shops, habitat stores, and even antique farm shows. The most cherished and honorable roll he held for the last 19 years was that of a Mason. Ronnie was a dual member of Isaacs Lodge and Rocky Mount Lodge. In addition, he was a Jester in the Shriner’s beginning in 2003.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ronnie’s memory to one of the following. Also, no food please.
